Indigenous Cow Breed Improvement Centre

Today’s Desi Cows gives very less milk, therefore, it has become costly and uneconomical affair for people to raise them at homes. Keeping in view of these facts, Domestic Cow Breed Improvement Centre was established in Gowdham on 13th April 2015 inaugurated by the then Agriculture and Animal and Husbandry & Dairying Minister Shri Om Prakash Dhankad, Government of Haryana. We have around 25 cows and 4 Bullock in Gowdham of Indian breed Sahiwal, Tharparker, Rathi and Haryanvi as a result of breed improvement programme.
For them Gowdham constructed a modern shed in order to increase the capacity of Gow-vansh.

Research on Panchgavya and Manufacturing Products

Gowdham has setup a laboratory and making continuous research on Panchgavya and is also making various cow products which includes Ghee, Nasal Drops made from the Cow Ghee, Cow-Ark, Gonyle, Goclean, Tulsi Ark, mosquito repellent, joint pain oil, pain killer balm, Dhoop Bati, Samidha, insecticides etc.

Biogas Plants

Biogas is a renewable and clean source of energy. Gas generated through bio digestion is non-polluting and it actually reduces greenhouse emissions (i.e. reduces the greenhouse effect).

To make maximum use of dung, we have setup 4 types of biogas plant:-

  1. Institutional Plant (85Cubic Meter Capacity fixed dome)
  2. Community Plant (2 Cubic Meter Capacity fixed dome)
  3. Family size Biogas Plant (Floating dome)
  4. Water Tank size (Sintex) model family size biogas Plant
The primary raw material used for these bio gas plants is cow dung making it a highly sustainable option. Also the by-product of these bio gas generation is organic manure which can accelerate plant growth and resilience to diseases as compared to commercial fertilizers that can have toxic effects. Manure produced is of very high quality and has shown progressive and inspiring result for farming. This produced manure is distributed free of cost to the farmers of nearby villages which has resulting subsequently increase in production of their vegetable, fruits and grain crops.

These plants have been installed in Sansthan to bring awareness among the public with a view that they can setup their own type of plant as per their requirement.

Organic Composts

Compost is organic matter that has been decomposed in a process called composting. To promote and bring awareness regarding use of Swadeshi organic composts, different kinds of organic composts are manufactured in Sansthan i.e. from bio gas, earth-warm culture (Jaivic manure), compost manure and other types of organic composts to increase the production of agriculture, vegetables and horticulture etc

Monthly Hawan Culture

To in habituate the cultural tradition and to bring awareness about the protection and preservation of Gow-vansh and our environment, a Havan-Yagna is organized on the last Sunday of every month in which the Saints and various dignitaries are invited for the spiritual, social and moral development of the people of all field. Havan-Yagna is followed by the Discourse, Prayer, Aarti and Sattvik Prasad.

Research, education and training

Sansthan is frequently visited by Senior Level Officers e.g. IAS, IPS, HC, the Trainees and Representatives of Central Government and students from India and abroad. In this way, it is the continuous endeavor of the Gowdham to make it an Ideal Research Centre, to promote and educate people about environment friendly sustainable methods of farming and energy.
Visits have been arranged for various schools students in the area. We at Gowdham believe that the future generation need to be equipped with the value system and knowledge to help in finding long term eco-friendly solutions and deal with problems like climate change, environment degradation and pollution.
